HWMA member, Cromwell Polythene, has (in its Cromwell Plastics Recycling division) extended its capacity to recover and reprocess waste polythene. This follows investment in new machinery and the expansion of its existing polythene recovery service.
The collection of used polythene from customers ensures resources are kept within the UK, with recovered material being recycling at CPR’s Derbyshire based site and extruded into more film thereby increasing the recycled content of the factory’s output. The factory manufactures LDPE, LLDPE and MDPE polyethylene and compostable films. Bags, sacks and liners produced using these are used in a wide range of applications, including waste disposal in the healthcare waste sector.
